Your viewpoint will not, and should not, be welcome everywhere all of the time, no matter the specifics. This is normal and does not infringe upon your freedom to speak your mind online. If other people disagree, or even if platforms you don't control curtail you, that is fine: the internet, not a specific site, is the medium. You don't often get to publish your rebuttal to another author at the end of their book. Often you have to publish your own.

The year is 2046. An elderly Greg Bovino shuffles into a physical therapy office, leaning on his trusty walker. He's helped up onto a table, and a moment later, the therapist comes in. His skin isn't white.

He checks the old man's chart, notes the name, grins. "Hi, Greg," he intones cheerfully, with a faint Somali accent. "Looks like today's exercises might be pretty uncomfortable! Luckily, I've never forgotten what your goons did to me 20 years ago, so this'll at least be easy for one of us."

People will tell you your vote can't or won't matter. Vote anyway.
Some will tell you the system is rigged. Vote anyway.
The federal government will certainly do everything they can to suppress voter turnout. Vote anyway.
Vote-by-mail is under threat due to postmark changes designed to hobble it. Vote anyway--and vote early.

Voting doesn't solve everything, but it's still our first and best defense, if we'll only use it. Yes, plan for what comes next. But vote, too. It matters.
