161 years ago today, on April 9th, 1865, the pro-slavery forces of the rebel Army of Northern Virginia (under the leadership of noted traitor Robert Lee) surrendered to their moral and ethical superiors at the Appomattox Court House, marking the beginning of the end of the American Civil War.

The year is 2046. An elderly Greg Bovino shuffles into a physical therapy office, leaning on his trusty walker. He's helped up onto a table, and a moment later, the therapist comes in. His skin isn't white.
