Rocket and myself are broadcasting bouncy happy trip hop with a focus on bass to make your labia twitch live from LDNiNK Towers today.
You can listen in using the very fine Macrowave app. #caturday #catsofmastodon #macrowave

#Macrowave v1.1 is slowly coming together, and I am so excited about it.
A bunch of improvements for macOS and introducing the broadcaster for iOS.
This is what I have come up with now for #Macrowave.
It works, but it feels super complicated. Can please someone tell me how I am holding this wrong?
I used the AVCaptureDevice instead of the AVAudioEngine.inputNode because I cannot specify which microphone it will use and it will automatically change when the system default microphone changes.
So in the end I am using neither AVAudioEngine.inputNode nor AVAudioEngine.outputNode, which feels weird.
Gonna test the new macOS of #Macrowave version today:

Made improvements to how audio is handled, which should make broadcasting more robust without annoying side effects like ducking other sounds on the Mac.
If you want to test or just play around with the new improved broadcaster, please let me know.
Spent this morning implementing the #Macrowave broadcaster for iOS/iPadOS.
So you can create a radio station no matter where you are. Like the macOS version, it supports streaming system audio and microphone output.
It's in a very early stage, but it already works extremely well, and I am super excited to share it with you all.
If you are interested in testing this with me, send me a DM.
Would love to get feedback on this. Will share more once the UI is in a better state.
