Since I've got a much more capable machine, I've been toying with the idea of helping @Dracodare render his 3D scenes for him at much greater levels of details and faster than with his laptop.
We've been hitting some odd issues where running certain scenes would use 2-3GB of VRAM, similar to CPU rendering, but then some would jump to 12+GB, hitting memory limit on GPU, but when running on CPU, seeing the same 2-3GB used as the other scenes.
We finally found out what the issue was, subdivision in some meshes were WAY too large causing an early spike of up to 10ร the memory used during render for the scene initialization.
Anyway here's a half resolution file of the render made today for him where he blesses the Earth with a very pretty sight of his jaws before giving billions a special journey!
