Things I really need - wake up from a nap really shaky to a loud, fast-talking guy telling my mum we need not only the gutter cleaned, but also the board below replaced and a different pipe fitted. My mum says it’s been leaking for ages. They’re on Checkatrade, they say, which is true and their reviews are top-notch, but omfg. This happens every so often, either they see the gutter or she sees them doing a neighbour’s garden, and their gift of the gab kicks in.

I’ve just run out of test strips for the glucose monitor so I’ve had a jellybean in case it wants sugar (inconclusive, I don’t feel better or worse, probably wasn’t even enough sugar to matter). And two plain rich tea biscuits.

I took something this morning to help things and a sugary ingredient is also meant to help blood sugar, but I can’t really be sure what’s doing what.

I’d just like to eat something and feel better. And no loud salesmen at the door. Send a geeky sweetheart for once. One who cooks.
