Hey, @SeanCasten

What's up with your refusal to sign on to the Medicare For All Act? Please reconsider.

"Every representative whose district includes Chicago has already co-sponsored the Medicare for All Act in the US House, and every likely replacement for retiring members of Congress has promised to do the same, with one exception. Rep. Sean Casten (D-Ill.)"

We Can Do So Much Better: It's Time for Medicare for All | Common Dreams

The shortcomings of US healthcare are painfully apparent throughout Rep. Casten’s district, so why won't he co-sponsor the Medicare for All Act?

Common Dreams

#Libraries are socialist. You could never make them happen today if they didn't already exist. But also, even conservatives would scream if you tried to get rid of them now.

I assume that's what universal health care feels like.

It should be illegal for health ins companies to be for-profit, or issue stock, and all executive compensation packages should be capped at less than $1million a year. It should be legal to sue existing health ins companies severally and executives individually for causing you harm by denying your treatment or meds.

How about public denunciations of the billionaires preventing #Medicare4All ?

Start with Koch Network; they own the most corrupt politicians. They've been at it for over a decade.

Koch Network doesn't do healthcare at all, just "health insurance" plans that don't pay out when it comes time.

A handful of billionaires don't have the right to decide who lives or dies.

Koch Network Fuels Republican Push to Kill ACA Subsidies

As millions face higher premiums, Koch‑funded groups are pressuring Republicans to oppose Obamacare subsidy extensions.

Sludge

Well, yes, of course.

Just set about making my fall medical appointments, and turns out, new "insurance" wants me to pay $500 for a screening that the previous insurance covered. Fortunately it's one of those gratuitous "test to make sure nothing has changed" on a factor that has been stable since I've been doing these screenings.

So yeah, no. See also: FUCK no.

Blessedly, I could afford it. But the whole thing just pisses me off so much....
