My #logitech #M570 track ball does weird things...

I have sometimes trouble to move the pointer, but if I lift it up, hold it in my hand and tilt it 90° I can navigate totally fine

@NeilEvansRocks Well, I had some incentive and not much left to lose. The #M570 is a fantastic trackball and the cheap nasty switches used by #Logitech had some form. Loads of YouTube videos to help me with the open gadget surgery.

@NeilEvansRocks Had a similar sounding switch problem with my #Logitech #M570 trackall. A bit of googling, 2x £1 switches and a couple of hours with the soldering iron sorted me problem. Replaced the cheap switches with drop in superior alternatives.

A sad day...
My very first wireless trackball, a Logitech M570, experienced a very traumatic issue today. The poor thing was at least 10 years old, had lost three out of the four rubber pads on the bottom, and was jittery and shaky for the last month. And my Logitech #m570 is repaired once again. This time it was the button under the scroll wheel, which most of the time produced 2 clicks. The red/white thingy beside the black one is the original, defective. The mouse buttons were already replaced some time ago. Those infamous OMRON switches.

@kev I would recommend the #logitech #m570 . The one you have looks pretty painful to use for prolonged time.

@codeHaiku Luckily I still have some spare ones from the last order. Prices apparently vary between regions. Amazon Germany lists the #m570 for roughly 57€.

@orbjet I am glad that it was introduced. It brought the price of the #m570 down significantly. When this happens to the ergo, I will buy it and try it. In the end, all #logitech mice I have owned had a worn out left mouse button switch after prolonged use. With this in mind, I don't spend too much on their mice, knowing I have to replace it with a few years.
