phgDuring this time of the year #Lunga, largest of the Treshnish Islands, serves as a breeding site for thousands of #puffins. These #birds clearly are the master of this place and they act like it too: not bothered too much by the dozens of humans walking around their nests they practice close fly-by manoeuvers on their way down to the fishing grounds in the foaming sea.
The uncontested highlight of this trip to #Scotland and possibly the whole year: a boat ride to Th# islands #Staffa and #Lunga off the coast of the misty Isle of Mull.
It is incredible just how close one can get to the #puffins breeding there. And how close they would fly by our heads, diving into the raging sea from cliffs thirty meters high.
