#dinner tonight has been on a slow reheat this afternoon - the last of the #LumberjackBeans.

This time I’ve added #Cumberland #sausages & #curry to the leftovers! 😈

🎬 Take 2!

The #LumberjackBeans WITH the garlic added is much better.

We had a huge shared bowl again just now & we’ll add the recipe to our quick, easy meals choices. #dinner

At least another meal left but I’ll need to add some more carrots to the #leftovers.

I figured out (last night) that the reason I wasn’t hugely enjoying my #LumberjackBeans was because I’d prepared the #garlic but forgot to put it in with my ingredients. *sigh*

A new batch of minced garlic has now been added to the #leftovers & when I slow cook them for #dinner, all should be right with the dish. #food

Oh. The reason the #celery is not chopped - my arthritic hands are only good for so much slicing & dicing before I just have to stop.

#LumberjackBeans #dinner shared bowl.

Not bad. Yes, that is a huge piece of celery.

Just gave my #LumberjackBeans a stir & taste test.

To keep my better half happy, I had added some #barley.

Not bad. I added a little salt & white pepper, preferring not to add them first, just in case my stock was overly salty.

I think I’ll add a splash #WorcesterSauce to my serving tonight. 🤗🤗🤗

With the cold weather finally here, I’m going to be #cooking more #soups & #stews.

I’ll start today with #Canadian #LumberjackBeans - without the #Bison or #Moose. Lol

Recipe:
Ingredients:
500 mL (2 cups) dried Great Northern beans
1L (4 cups) chicken stock
Salt & pepper to taste
Splash of oil for frying
500g (1 Lb) Ground Bison or Moose (or any ground meat)

2 carrots, chopped
2 celery ribs, chopped

5-10 sprigs fresh thyme
