We've had a pretty stressful week or so with our cat as she didn't engage with us or her food and was just sleeping the whole day through. We assumed that it was her age and that this is just how she is now. Yesterday it became clear that she was just fighting off some illness as she has bounced back to her normal self.

Anyway, all of that is to say: cherish your loved ones whatever form they take. Our time here is brief and it should be filled with love, not regret.
