Tried to do a Favorite Games of 2025. I know what I should list: Xenoblade X or Rune Factory: Azuma or even Herdling (that music!).

But the one I think most often about is Lordsworn. A table top rpg, which I played solo. Survivors, not heros. No special boy destined to fight god. My party had liars, fools, braggarts, hopeless romantics, a real villain.

(This was how I played X all those years ago, but the update really wanted me to be a hero.)

Finished another solo ttrpg, Lordsworn. After your god is killed in battle, your small group of survivors is making its way home.

It's meant to be played with others, but has rules for a single player. The character creation was nice (26 archetypes, my party was broad) and I enjoyed cheating my way through 4 full sessions (the game expects you to fail). I liked it.
