Natuurherstel moet ook gaan over herstel van de relatie tussen mens en natuur

Onlangs verscheen het Living Planet report waaruit blijkt dat de kwaliteit van de natuur nog altijd ver beneden de maat is. Akkerkruiden weidevogels graslandvlinders graslandpaddenstoelen akkervogels en kleine marters zoals wezel en hermelijn gaan achteruit met percentages rond de 80 procent. Maar als je flora en fauna wilt herstellen stuit je op de vraag wanneer is het eigenlijk goed

The Living Planet Report 2022 states that there is "an average decline of 69% in species populations since 1970". In Latin America and the Carribean that's even 94%. Not necessarily surprised, but still sad to read those numbers😔
