Were one to ask what my favorite "forgotten" anime series is, I would go with Living for the Day After Tomorrow (Asatte no Houkou in Japan). It originally aired in 2006. It is a simple double age-swap story (think "Big" rather than Freaky Friday), but what most stands out to me is its aesthetics. Despite its age, it is the finest TV anime depiction of summer, as I opine in my full review.
