#LittleKnowFact in 1864 the #RussianFleet was over wintering in #Alexandria harbour in #Virginia. The officers wanted to see how the #Union fought so they asked for a train ride to a battle. They got so drunk on the train that they apparently tried to participate in the battle and they were hauled back to DC so that #MaryToddLincoln could yell at them, her husband being layed up with #SmallPox at the time.
