This year has been a bit of a rough crafting year due to a back and rib injury, unfortunately. But I'm trying to cheer myself up! My small amigurumis can have a little spot in our decorated tree this season. 😇

Right now I'm getting back into the swing of things by crocheting a grey scarf for myself. Just some simple rows of hdc stitches to get my hands used to the movements again.

Do you enjoy embroidering on your crochet projects? I always get a little stressed when I have to do faces, expressions, snouts, etc. Sometimes it takes quite a few tries before I get it just right. Sometimes it never happens and I think "well, good enough..." 😆

AmiguruMay day 20: Special stitches

I'm a simple crocheter, I don't use any special stitches. I think about 90% of my patterns and projects only use single crochet (sc), increase (inc), invisible decrease (dec) and slip stitch (ss). If I get any fancier than that, it's by adding a few double crochet (dc) or half double crochet (hdc) stitches.

Personally I enjoy making easier stitches and I dislike the motions of more complex stitches, so I always try to see how far I can get by just using the very basics. 😅
