33 years ago Linus Torvalds (studying at Helsinki University) announced Linux on the comp.os.minix newsgroup 🐧
A few years later (studying at Bologna University) I also learned about it 💡
I've been using it for 25 years now 😅
Happy Linuxversay 🎊

The date stamp on my /home folder tells me that today is my one year #Linuxversary! One year since I started using #Linux as my main OS.
I was no stranger to Linux before this. I first tried it back in 1997, when I bought an FPU and installed m68k Linux on my Amiga. Played for an hour, then uninstalled.
This was the story of the next 2+ decades - install with enthusiasm, drop after a short while due to annoyance. Every few years, regular as clockwork.
But, this time, it seems to have stuck.
