I was reading on linear arithmetic synthesis as i'm impressed how some DOS games sound with Roland MT-32/CM-32L emulation.

LA synthesis offered the realistic sounds of a sampler with the control and creativity of a synthesizer. Typical LA synthesis instrument is a PCM attack combined with synthesis. Found this great example why its awesome.
