Schneemücken (Chionea sp.) sind winteraktiv & besitzen stark reduzierte Flügel. Das Exemplar habe ich 2006 Mitte November gefunden. Gut erkennbar sind die fliegentypischen Schwingkölbchen (Halteren).

Not sure who this is, possibly Geranomyia communis, but posting because I'd love for people to admire its large proboscis. That's not something you usually see on a crane fly. Per reports in the literature, members of the genus are fond of sipping nectar from tubular flowers in the Asteraceae.
