There is a special kind of pride in building with the exact same enterprise-grade tech you stand behind every day. Just deployed my new app, on a 100% Red Hat trusted supply chain!
OS: RHEL 10.1
Runtime: Rootless Podman 5.6 + Quadlets
Containers: UBI 10 everywhere! (Postgres 16, Valkey 8, and a ubi10/python-312-minimal base for the app itself)
Secure by default, rock solid, and incredibly fun to build with.
It's been so long since I mailed a physical letter that I had to look up mailbox locations on OpenStreetMap for the village I moved to. Even with a cold, I made the trek today because it was for the Red Hat Germany Works Council election. Democracy is important, and every single vote counts. đłïž
had another fun #LifeAtRedHat moment at dinner. partner and i went for rijstafel (it was delicious). as we are leaving i hear something from the table behind us about "look, red hat!â. (they had seen my devconf hoodie)
turns out, the family behind us had just moved to Raleigh and have become familiar with how it is a "red hat town". they were curious if we were also from NC.
i wasn't even wearing my fedora this time, i promise!
Unexpectedly had a box with home baked Christmas cookies in my mail today.
They came from my manager at Red Hat, who send them đ And they are really really tasty nom nom đȘđ
Throwback to January 2023 where we Red Hatters visited Dublin. #LifeAtRedHat
(Yes, that's the same glitzy jacket I wore at our Munich Office Christmas party this week, hence the throwback :)
