And yes, with the LRL coming, I will kick-off work on the Mastodon #LatinUI for real. 😉

(Got into a slump last month after other things became more pressing. Still want to see this happen, though.)

It's done! Finally! I have created an alt-profile @weirdadmiral for my posts in German and for those not really fitting into my feed here, concerning for example the non-AncMed-stuff I like. If you want to read more about me playing various ttrpgs, boardgames or reading nautical and/or weird fiction, I recommend you follow me there, too. Let me know if I should do posts in English, too. Now back to my important scholary projects, like the #LatinUI
Can't wait for the newer edition of the Lexicon Recentis Latinitatis to arrive and to help out with the #LatinUI project. Started out with the single-word strings tonight - and even with those there are so many choices to make and contexts to infer. About 3% of the en.json have a first attempt now. Feedback much appreciated, as always.
Salvete omnes! Factum est! Finally, @Gargron has been reached and work on the Mastodon #LatinUI can begin! If you want to help out or just follow the process, join the project on CrowdIn: https://crowdin.com/project/mastodon

@Gargron Danke fürs Einrichten der Sprache Latein auf CrowdIn! 🥳 #LatinUI
As there seemed to be some confusion yesterday about what a #LatinUI for Mastodon would mean in terms of work to be done by the developers: I re-checked with the knowledge base on CrowdIn, and I just need someone to add another target language entry to the mix of the now already 93 languages, that people are working on. As Latin is already a supported language in CrowdIn, this should be three clicks or so in total. After that, the translators (me & others) do the rest. https://support.crowdin.com/changing-target-languages/?q=add%20language

Sadly, there still is no feedback to my request on opening up a #LatinUI translation for Mastodon. I tried on three different channels so far and I am out of ideas how to get @Gargron 's or the translation team's attention for this project without bothering them to much. Any help is still very much appreciated. I may teach Latin but I am new to the Fediverse. Maybe I am missing something?
UPDATE for all #AncMed fans & tooters: I have officially petitioned for a Latin translation of the #Mastodon UI and am waiting for an answer right now. If anyone of you wants to help out in the process, make sure to follow my #LatinToots , or join the CrowdIn translation tool as soon as the work begins. New hashtag concerning this project: #LatinUI
