Beetlehangers

The #ephemeral #habitat #debris of #washedashore on #freshwater lakes (here Berlin Wannsee) and an interesting inhabitant, a #beetle of the genus Dryops that is adapted to watery habitats. Visible in my attached photos is seemingly #Dryops #luridus that is also known to occur in Berlin-Brandenburg.
A. De Kesel and D. Haelewaters (2014) studied #Laboulbeniales fungi on D. luridus in Belgium.
