@moonbug is watching #LaReinaDelSur (well, its English remake), and even though I can't really stomach that kind of thing, I did read the book many years ago.
The book is kind of unintentionally funny because it's written by a Spaniard (Arturo Pérez Reverte) and he tries to use Mexican slang but he can't avoid using Spain-specific #Spanish, so it's like when you can hear someone's foreign accent. I kind of wonder if that was intentional or if his editors just didn't catch it.
