Learning that my hometown high school is now *worse* for queer kids compared to 15 years ago was devastating.

Just finished reading an amazing book—The Last Boyfriends Rules for Revenge, by Matthew Hubbard. It’s a novel about three boys in high school who hatch a plan to get revenge on the boyfriends who wronged them, only to discover their power as they end up igniting a queer rebellion against a homophobic school administration. A very important message for all of us right now.

“If they erased us, they kept us alone. If they kept us alone, they made sure our focus was only ever on survival.
But when a group of survivors join forces, they become fighters.”
