Real Tigers by Mick Herron: There was a lot I forgot about the third season of Slow Horses, so this book still felt very fresh for me. The plot grows more and more complex as it unfolds, with consequences that shake up the status quo of Slough House and beyond. I think the second novel is still my favorite so far, but this was still a solid and compelling read. #slowhorses #books

Seeing as I got Apple TV+ now (ooh-err. Well I did enjoy Murderbot a lot), I'm now watching Slow Horses. Loving it! The Slough House team is great bc they're all so different, in professionalism, job ability, personalities and above all in likeability, heh heh. Gary Oldman plays such a nasty git.
I love spotting areas in London that I recognise, makes me feel all smart alecky...
On season 2 now. So glad there are several.

The List by Mick Herron: This is a Slough House novella set after the second volume in the series. At first it seems only tangentially related to the slow horses, but that ultimately changes. Despite its shorter length, it tells a solid story, with a few twists and turns right up until the end. What I like is how it demonstrates just how smart Jackson Lamb really is. It was a struggle not to jump right into the next novel! #slowhorses

Dead Lions by Mick Herron: The second Slough House novel is even better than the first. The beginning of the novel takes its time, reacquainting the reader with the "slow horses", before kicking into another gear. Despite having a good recollection of the plot from the TV show adaptation, I forgot how it ended, so it became a real page-turner in the second half. I'm very happy I decided to pick up this series! #slowhorses #sloughhouse
