CLondoner92 (New Account)🏗️ #Liverpool City Council has appointed design firm Hawkins\Brown to lead a long-term regeneration vision for the area around Liverpool Central #railway station. Working with Platform4, Network Rail and the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority, the team will prepare a Strategic Regeneration Framework to guide investment, public spaces, transport links and future development.
The project follows wider plans to redevelop Liverpool Central as part of a proposed £5bn transport and regeneration scheme. The 86-acre vision aims to improve connections between Merseyrail and national rail services, while creating greener public spaces, new homes, offices and leisure facilities. Liverpool Central, which handles more than 14.8 million passengers a year, has also been selected as a pilot for the Government’s revised Green Book appraisal process.
