Our Helmholtz Coil finally arrived for our Jefferson Lab #LDRD project.

Now to learn how to use it to accurately measure our permanent magnet strengths.

It's exciting to be able to learn and do totally new things in #accelerator #science after so many years. This is one reason I got into #physics in the first place.

Now that it's been officially announced, I'm happy to say that our new Jefferson Lab #LDRD #grant is being funded!

We'll be studying the degradation of permanent #magnets in a real #radiation environment. We will then extrapolate to the energies of our #FFA upgrade.
