I don’t want to stand still,” “Once I’ve climbed a mountain, I want to climb another. If a band weren’t willing to do that, I would get another band.” #SavoyBrown #FogHat

Kim Simmonds, a Key Figure in the British Blues Movement, Dies at 75

His band, Savoy Brown, never had a hit single, but it showcased his skills as a guitarist and songwriter and remained active for more than 50 years.

I've been collecting records since I was about 11 years old (over 40 years) and of course I've seen Savoy Brown in the bins, but had never listened until (of course) learning that their main member, Kim Simmonds, had just passed away. Getting To The Point is a *tasty* album. And I'll probably be listening to their stuff for the rest of the day.
