Started playing Love Yourself tonight, which is rated as a kaizo-beginner hack. A couple streamers (such as Juzcook) specifically recommended it to people who're interested in trying out kaizo for themselves.

It was tricky but incredibly satisfying to pull off. I've had a ton of fun with it so far.

I cleared the first ten levels in a little over three hours and I'll probably try clear the rest in the coming few days. It absolutely plays into the kaizo style of levels but, if you're familiar with the base game and have seen kaizo played a few times, you probably could give it a reasonable go.

Lol somewhat deceptive title on this video but it's a pretty good list of progressively harder not-quite kaizo Mario hacks if anyone thinks kaizo looks pretty cool but too intimidating to play.

That said I think quickie world 2 is a pretty accessible kaizo hack if you just wanted to jump in to the genre (though I think quickie 1 is the better game it just has some brutal difficulty spikes).
