LABOR RADIO (36 min.)

Lela Schwartz and Mike Edera of the DSA (Democratic Socialists of America) Housing Working Group lay out their campaign for the Renters Bill of Rights, a nine-point program soon to be brought to the Portland City Council to adopt as an ordinance. Copied largely from a similar measure led by the Tacoma DSA and passed by voters there, the Renters Bill of Rights seeks to limit rent increases, fees and evictions without costing the Portland taxpayer.

The DSA sees this campaign, which features a Renters Town Hall on Saturday, September 20th, 2-4pm at PCC SE, as part of their overall socialist program to build working class power.
