I loved Woo Do Hwan in "The King: Eternal Monarch" and thought he did well in this, but the story just isn't much and the end makes it worse.

I think it depends on whether you love any of the 3 leads. If you do, it's probably worth a watch.

Joseon Attorney: A Morality
(2023 - Viki, 16 1:10 eps)

A Joseon lawyer uses legal loopholes & twisted tactics to win cases & ultimately seek revenge on those who wronged his family. Early episodes feature interesting legal cases which cause the leads to grow. There is a love triangle & even if you love Woo Do Hwan (who makes this drama), you might root a bit for the 2nd. All the leads were really great in their roles.

Great OST, costumes, & sets, wonderful side characters, good chemistry, humor, & tragedy make a good watch. Unfortunately, the ending fell flat. The characters became more one-dimensional. The writers made every effort to write the unexpected, but at the expense of logic & what would have been a great story.

Two that stand out to me:

#joseonattorney - seems like something I would like but for some reason I lost interest. Apparently I only watched 3 episodes, though, so maybe I’ll go back to it.

#HotelDelLuna It’s so popular that I tried going back a couple of times, but only made it to Episode 7. Just couldn’t make myself care about anyone.

Huh. The end of that episode where the mayor's dad says that he KNOWS his son is helping Kang Han-su, and that he's helped multiple times makes me wonder if maybe the dad (and the mayor?) are playing the long game to screw over Kang Han-su TOGETHER.

I sometimes have a hard time with faces, so who was it that Kang Han-su's sister is married to? The bad guy dad?? Or just one of his minions? And what kind of deal did they make with her?

Was SHE behind the Kang family getting killed off? Maybe because she was mad she got married off so young?

They opened up a new plot line...

Also, in the next episode, what will the confession be that the Princess makes to Kang Han-su? That she's the princess? That she accidentally helped kill his dad? That she's in love with him? That she's betrothed to the mayor? SO MANY QUESTIONS and yet SO MANY DAYS until the next episode.

Woot! Episode 2 of the #kdrama #JoseonAttorney is out and, uh, if there was ever a question if these kdramas are filmed with the female gaze in mind, *cough* count how many shirtless bathing/shower scenes there are.

I can *definitely* tell that Woo Do-hwan just finished his military service. 👀

*ahem*

I am watching these shows for the EDUCATIONAL value. Yes.
