Going with a different choice to kickstart it here
I've gone off the
#kDrama #Goong after nearly 3 complete watches, but I'm still a fool for its OST

Following #cDrama and #kDrama on SNS has recently reminded me my opinions on dramas and actors are often VERY contrarian. That and my strong preference for #jDrama means for the last few months I've tended to say basically nothing rather than being a nattering nabob of negativity.

To 'fix' that, stealing the #chinguchallenge from Bsky, and hope others will join in . Here's a screenshot of the starter post, to give credit where due and to explain the strict "no rules" rule. 😀

Since I am insistent on watching the odd medical drama in spite of being the biggest woos ever, Partner has gotten very good at narrating graphic bits in a friendly manner and letting me know when I can look again.

This has been exceptionally problematic with shows like #Jin where I can't even follow the dialog.

This series is excellent.

I can say with some certainty however that the gore warning is well deserved.

Glasses / めがね (2007).
A slow-paced movie that you're hesitant to watch at first, but then it somehow pulls you in. It tells you almost nothing about the characters, you have all the same first impressions the main heroine has of the people and place. And at the beginning it seems irritataing, like what do you mean we're not told anything and not a single question is answered? But by the end it doesn't matter. It shows the way to "twilight", calmly accept whatever life is to offer and just drift, drift, drift... into the contemplative state. Very curious about the word 黄昏れる ("tasogareru") that was the basic idea here. Translators might've had a bit of a hard time here, English ones chose "to twilight", which is the only meaning I knew, but NOT in its verb form... hmm.
By the end it started feeling borderline magical in a totally non-magical setting
