Hairwork was worn both in commemoration of the dead and as a keepsake between lovers, friends or family.

If you look closely at this example, you can see that there are openings on the inner surface of the ring so that the hair could sit next to the wearer’s skin.

The VARIVM logo is based on one of my earlier, A2 sized Green Man ink drawing which I never actually finished. I wanted something mythical, something medieval(ish), something simple and still something a bit more detailed. Glad he was at the bottom of the drawer :) Again, no AI involved: only ink, paper, the good old Inkscape and some patience.
