And now we've got #Laval in #Quebec demonstrating why all buildings or roads should be lined with #bollards or #JerseyBarriers as is most practical locally.

Banning general heavy vehicle circulation in inhabited areas, such as cities, would also go a long way toward preventing that kind of incident.

That is a direct consequence of allowing cars and similar non-rail heavy vehicles in cities.

This time it was intentional, will the next just be a buggy autonomous vehicle?

I can definitely feel my sphincter unclench when I get to the part of the #QueensBlvdPBL that has #JerseyBarriers (ie, is actually #protected instead of just some #CarTickleStix).

I don't understand why the #JerseyBarriers on the #QueensBlvdPBL don't extend all the way up to the crosswalk.

Andres Salomon real parody account on Twitter

“.@NYC_DOT's spacing of jersey barriers on the Queens Blvd PBL is very uneven, and it shows in where the bike lane ends up getting blocked. @vinbarone @ydanis At the same time, the jersey barriers that ARE there make drivers feel comfortable enough to mostly park in the buffer.”
