The marketing material boasts it will eventually replace about 9% of provincial power demand that is currently supplied via #fossilFuels - if demand stays the same.

The Brighton Mountain Wind Farm will contribute to New Brunswick’s long-term renewable energy goals by decarbonizing the province’s electricity grid. The project will be constructed in multiple phases. The first phase will have an installed capacity of 200 megawatts with 34 wind turbines and an investment of approximately $550 million.

For as long as I've been alive and longer, large industries like #irvingOil, #jdIrving, #repsol and others have paid - and I'm not overstating this - a penny on the dollar of their fair share.

Our politicians have signed **incredibly** generous 25 or 50 year contracts, absolving over a billion in taxes.

We have the highest child poverty, teen pregnancy, and sexual assault rates in the country.

Maybe it's time we balance the scales a little. Maybe we should tip them *a lot* and get back some of what we've lost. Build homes, feed kids, clean pollution, improve schools...
