We didn't go on holiday because of mills & canals, but it became a thread between the other Brontë and Railway things. This is a sculpture in Hebden Bridge marking their last mill, which made corduroy fabrics, which need a special needle ( the sculpture) and was run for a while as a co-operative ( I looked it up)

I read this morning that Charlotte Brontë "blue dress" was made from fabric woven at Salt Mill, using his alpaca yarn.

And: Aquaducts! Engineering!
