New month, new #BattleTech #MiniaturePainting project: an Overlord-C DropShip by #IronWindMetals.

I had already bathed it and the landing struts, yesterday I sanded the mold lines off the legs and their armoured doors. In addition I primed the space-worthy Fabergé egg and that's all I had time for. Maybe I get to prime the six legs tomorrow and start on some two, three greys on the hull.

It'll get some jade-green highlights for reasons. Maybe self-made stencils too. Maybe. #WIP

Got to go to #historicon this weekend. Really fantastic convention with a focus on historical wargames but also has some fantastical stuff. There was an entire booth selling #ironwindmetals battletech stuff, and I found my new best friend, the Black Python. With #battletech night on Monday, it was a sprint to paint up the mech. #slapchop was used, although I did a zenithal with the airbrush instead of a drybrush. The plan is to do more highlights and touchups later.

Oh my god what the fuck! this was in the same cabinet as my vinyl collection, and it has a bunch of spackle dust so this has been in here since I renovated my bedroom nearly 20 yrs ago.

I either bought these from Ral Partha when it was still Ral Partha or maybe I bought them off of someone from Neveron.com #battletech #mechwarrior #ironwindmetals

This picture makes me smell the old games shop from the high school days.
The owner was a bean centric vegan so it always kinda smelled like farts and paint.
haven't thought about Ral Partha minis in ages.
