Last summer I did my first iron butt on an F850GS #motorcycle and as I am getting round to writing about all of my summer rides for the local newspaper I started there. Finally got around to planning my TT2000 route for this year. Will be clocking up a total of 2,870km's and 51 checkpoints over the weekend to ensure I get the max number of points allowed. That includes around 400km of gravel high country roads which are always 'fun' on the Spyder.

The event not until weekend of 24th Feb but no doubt I'll manage a couple of practice runs before then:-)

Photo taken while checking out one of the TT2000 adventure bike checkpoints to make sure I can actually reach it on my Spyder in prep for the rally in Feb.

Pleased to report it was possible as otherwise I'd still be stuck there, though it's just as well I'd packed a camping shovel at the last minute as got stuck exiting of one of the fords - there were 7 in total.

Kopš uzzināju par Dzelzs Pakaļu - sāku lēnām par to domāt. Ar manu darba grafiku - realistiski būtu mēģināt nobraukt ~augusta beigās un to arī visu laiku plānoju. Bet patreiz izskatās, ka palikšu bišku ilgāk te uz kuģa un braucienu varētu sanākt pabīdīt pat uz aprīļa vidu, ja vien laikapstākļi ļautu. Nice! 🙂🏍️ #ironbutt https://www.ironbutt.org
