Using #DNS as a bootstrap layer for #AI agent discovery is a compelling idea, especially when it builds on standards like #SVCB, #DNSSEC, & #DANE.

The DNS-AID draft is a valuable contribution: https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/html/draft-mozleywilliams-dnsop-dnsaid-01

For enterprise adoption, discovery is only the start. The challenge is making such concepts trustworthy, governable, & manageable across enterprise #DNS, #DHCP, and #IPAM.

As seen in @andrew_campling’s weekly "DNS in the News": https://419.consulting/encrypted-dns/f/dns-in-the-news-9th-march-2026

It's 2 years since #NIST released the Cybersecurity Framework 2.0. One of its most useful effects is making critical services an explicit governance and risk topic, not just an IT detail. When #DNS, #DHCP and #IPAM are treated as those critical services, the #CSF functions map cleanly to operational decisions on ownership, hardening, monitoring, resilience targets and recovery readiness, because outages or abuse at this layer can take whole environments down.

#IPAM is running a 2-day Industrial Short Course : Generative AI Algorithms on March 5-6, 2026.

The short course is aimed at people from industry or government who want to get started in deep learning, apply deep learning to their projects, learn how to code deep learning algorithms, and upgrade their skills to the latest AI algorithms, including generative AI. The course will be taught be Professor Xavier Bresson form the Department of Computer Science at the National University of Singapore (NUS).

The course will be limited to 25 participants. The fee for this course is $2,500 for participants who register before February 1, 2026. It will be $2,800 after February 1, 2026. We encourage everyone to register early, as we expect that this course might be booked out.

More information about this course can be found at:

An update on the #IPAM funding situation: the NSF has now approved an extension of funding of the institute for another five years, after a gap of several months where we have been using donations and other emergency funding sources to continue operations. https://www.ipam.ucla.edu/news/nsf-support-for-ipam-renewed-for-2025-2030/

The funding is (as we had already expected) at sharply reduced levels compared to the previous 5-year cycle, so we are still continuing to fundraise to reach a full level of operations, but we now at least have some guarantee of reaching minimal levels of activity, which was not at all certain until now.

#IPAM (The Institute for Pure and Applied Mathematics) is soliciting applications from industry to sponsor projects in its Research in Industrial Projects for Students (RIPS) program, in which talented undergraduate students, with a postgraduate mentor, work on industry-sponsored projects over a 9-week program while at residence at IPAM. Details about the program can be found at https://www.ipam.ucla.edu/all-upcoming-programs/rips-sponsor-information/

Baleias, Caatinga e Cerrado no ‘Repórter Eco’
