I left FB 15yrs ago. Never regretted it. I don't use LinkedIn or Insta or TikTok.

95% of my friends message through Signal rather than Meta ie Messenger (FB) or WApp

One of my dearest friends refuses to get a Signal account and leave Meta/WApp bc she says "it's another app to download and they're all the same". Im in Aus. She's in UK. I don't want to lose touch but I want to close WApp.

Give me sthg WATERTIGHT, people, to convince her Meta/WApp is fucked. Bc it is.

I've told her about Meta's anti LGBTQI stance, the data theft, the lack of privacy. Her son is gay but so far nothing has got through to her...

Instagram deinstalliert! Gerade versucht ne halbe Stunde lang die Hintergrundfarbe von einer Story zu ändern. Aber keine der Optionen die angeblich funktionieren sollen klappt, noch dazu bricht es jedes mal ab, wenn ich meine Bildschirmrotation ändere oder aus der App tappe.
Aber das war nicht das einzige. Auch sonst hat mich die App einfach genervt. Allein was da an Zeit drauf geht um dort durchzuswipen, was noch ständig von Werbung unterbrochen wird, nur um mal irgend einen relevanten Post zu finden. Einfach nur frustrierend. 😤

Insta ist mittlerweile ja auch nur noch eine Müllhalde, oder? Spam unter fast allen Beiträgen, Sexbotprofile, die jeden scheiß und jede Story liken. Der Feed besteht quasi nur noch aus Posts von offiziellen Accounts (ÖR, Medien, Unternehmen) & Werbung.
Das was SoMe damals so interessant gemacht hat, ist nicht mehr und es fehlt der Spaß und der echte Austausch auf Augenhöhe.
