This week’s Insert Credit is their annual GOTY episode which always has some good discussion around why these games are good and interesting. One pick in particular and the discussion around it really nails what I’ve enjoyed rediscovering in fighting games.
That sense of positivity and community support/encouragement that Street Fighter 6 and its World Tour mode specifically carries through.
It’s something I’ve had the pleasure of experiencing again when playing these games with friends and it’s been very nice.
