I’ve come across a couple patches of Canada Nettle (Laportea canadensis) on my walks. This sp. prefers moist, shady wooded habitats—much like our native Impatiens spp. (the crushed stems of which happen to alleviate nettle stings). The nettles host numerous insect spp., including butterfly larvae.🐛
