Empire Skate Club NYCEmpire has a fun #GroupSkate planned for Sunday, May 31. We will be rolling the Bronx River Parkway during the hours when it is closed to traffic. Meet up is at the Westchester County Center in White Plains at 11 a.m., close to the Metro North station. We'll roll the parkway until about 1:30. Afterwards, some will do an extra skate up to the Kensico Dam and back. Details on the Empire calendar at

Die Einsätze sind je nach Aufgabe ungefähr zwischen 10:00 und 22:00 Uhr. Wenn du eine längere Anreise hast, wird natürlich geschaut, dass es für dich nicht zu spät wird. Hierfür bitte einfach bei der Anmeldung Bescheid geben.
Die Swiss Skate Tour ist non-profit und solche Events sind nur dank freiwilligen Helfenden, Spenden und sponsorenden Firmen möglich 🙌
Für Helfende gibt es eine kostenlose Mahlzeit vom vietnamesischen Foodtruck inklusive veganen Optionen, ein Helfer*innen T-Shirt und viele tolle Begegnungen 🤩
Ich habe über solche Events schon Freundschaften geschlossen. Mich kann eins dort auch kennenlernen 😂

Roadskater, Ph.D.Hey, there's the new Maybrook Trail that I had meant to explore anyway. So I rolled up the trail and discovered there's a Great Swamp.
And as soon as the fitness tracker on my watch said I had rolled my age, I stopped. Turned around and headed back to the train station in Brewster.
That return, plus getting home from the Harlem train station, I finished the day with 72 miles. It's six hours later and I've had a few drinks, and my ankles still hurt like hell.

Went searching through my #Strava activity history trying to see if I had posted an ugly weather photo from #InlineSkating #NYC around 10 years ago. All I discovered was that I am indeed rolling about 15-20% slower than I was rolling then as I have suspected for some time. Scream!

Zum 8. Mal geht’s über den schnellen, gut asphaltierten Rundkurs durchs Dorfzentrum und vorbei an den rheintaler Feldern. Halbmarathon, Team-Zeitfahren ... für alle Inline-Fans ist etwas dabei! 🛼
Whoa. So our comments about re-surfacing on the north end of the #CentralPark loop on Sunday? We discovered on Monday that the 102nd St service road had also been resurfaced. So all you slackers (cough!) who have been avoiding rolling "cut-off loops" because of crappy asphalt, your excuse is no longer accepted!
Whoa, the wind aside, Sunday May 3 was a beautiful day for #InlineSkating in #NYC.
And to cap it off, as we were closing out a day of rolling 100k, we discovered that the north 1/3 of the #CentralPark loop has been resurfaced! Apparently so very recently that they haven't started re-striping the lanes yet.
It wasn't the Great Saunter route, but I did skate to both ends of Manhattan on Saturday afternoon/evening.
Three days of perfect #InlineSkating weather in a row. We hope #NYC skate peeps have been out enjoying them.
Even better has been rolling streets recently resurfaced. Tuesday evening, we managed to hit six of them! Fifth Ave btw the park and the library, 42nd St from the library to Times Sq, Avenue A, Grand St, Mott St, and Mulberry St.
