Empire Skate Club NYCWhoa. So our comments about re-surfacing on the north end of the #CentralPark loop on Sunday? We discovered on Monday that the 102nd St service road had also been resurfaced. So all you slackers (cough!) who have been avoiding rolling "cut-off loops" because of crappy asphalt, your excuse is no longer accepted!
Whoa, the wind aside, Sunday May 3 was a beautiful day for #InlineSkating in #NYC.
And to cap it off, as we were closing out a day of rolling 100k, we discovered that the north 1/3 of the #CentralPark loop has been resurfaced! Apparently so very recently that they haven't started re-striping the lanes yet.

Three days of perfect #InlineSkating weather in a row. We hope #NYC skate peeps have been out enjoying them.
Even better has been rolling streets recently resurfaced. Tuesday evening, we managed to hit six of them! Fifth Ave btw the park and the library, 42nd St from the library to Times Sq, Avenue A, Grand St, Mott St, and Mulberry St.

I went for a short round of inline skating today, and I got a thumbs up from a random guy. Yesterday I had the same during running. Now I am wondering if it is the same guy, that would be funny.
Rolled more recently resurfaced streets in #NYC Saturday while #InlineSkating Manhattan Tip 2 Tip, including two sections of Broadway btw 169th and 194th and also Dyckman St. Alas, later discovered that there is already a fresh utility cut in resurfaced Mott St just below Canal.
And, WTF is up with all the cars uptown in Inwood and Washington Hts that have obscured rear license plates? Postcards, note paper, T-shirts, etc. I know why they do it, but I rarely see that in other neighborhoods.
And to think that I saw it on Mulberry Street!
Out #InlineSkating Thursday evening and discovered that the street had relatively new asphalt; it might have been resurfaced about the same time as near adjacent Mott St. and I never noticed.
Whenever, it was a nice roll up and down, especially because much of the street was blocked to traffic and restaurants etc were using the street space.

smeikxAfter skating the Wizard Advanced for a while the PR 80 feel light and somewhat more casual. Looking forward to doing more aggressive style tricks with them.
