@kevin_aslett described his study which showed that searching for information on fringe beliefs can lead people to a sort of information channel. Dr. Arlette, introduced as an assistant professor at the University of Central Florida, used an example of a group of people prompted to find out if President Biden engineered a famine. Those who did their own research would search for that specific term and they would find information from people who had coined the phrase "engineered famine" whether factual or not. Those who didn't search for information, relying instead on traditional media were less likely to believe that Biden engineered a famine.

Makes sense. Right?
