Falling in love is the one illogical adventure, the one thing of which we are tempted to think as supernatural, in our trite and reasonable world. The effect is out of all proportion with the cause. Two persons, neither of them, it may be, very amiable or very beautiful, meet, speak a little, and look a little into each other’s eyes. That has been done a dozen or so of times in the experience of either with no great result. But on this occasion all is different. They fall at once into that state in which another person becomes to us the very gist and centrepoint of God’s creation, and demolishes our laborious theories with a smile; in which our ideas are so bound up with the one master-thought that even the trivial cares of our own person become so many acts of devotion, and the love of life itself is translated into a wish to remain in the same world with so precious and desirable a fellow-creature.

I've realized (and what a lot of you all on this site maybe tried to tell me or hoped that I would come to in my own time) that #queerness encompasses so much more than just who I may or may not have slept with. That can be part of it! But it's a fully lived experience. It's more expansive than that. A straight person would not have gone through the inner struggles that I have, whether that was teenage me feeling a confusing mix of #elation and #shame around certain young women friends that I can now identify as #desire and #infatuation or adult me wrestling with certain questions or who I am and who I could be or could have been. Maybe these experiences aren't the idealized images of queerness we see in the media, but they are my experience of my own #queer and #bisexual identity. They are part of the queer experience because I am queer. They are part of the bi experience because I am bi.

Apple Maps z opiniami ekspertów – m.in. Michelin Guide, The Infatuation i Golf Digest

Apple wprowadza do aplikacji Mapy Apple opinie, oceny i rekomendacje od uznanych ekspertów, takich jak Michelin Guide, The Infatuation i Golf Digest.

Dzięki temu użytkownicy łatwiej znajdą najwyżej oceniane restauracje, hotele i pola golfowe.

Można już przeszukiwać Mapy pod kątem restauracji z gwiazdkami Michelin, odznaczeniami Green Star czy Bib Gourmand, a także hoteli z wyróżnieniem Michelin Key. Obecnie funkcje te dostępne są w USA, ale planowane jest ich rozszerzenie na kolejne kraje.

Na kartach miejsc pojawiają się teraz: odznaczenia, opisy oraz zdjęcia od partnerów. W wybranych hotelach możliwa jest rezerwacja bezpośrednio z poziomu Map, a wkrótce dojdzie także opcja rezerwacji stolików (przez Michelin) i tee time’ów na polach golfowych (przez Supreme Golf).

Mapy Apple zyskują też gotowe przewodniki tworzone przez ekspertów – Michelin, The Infatuation oraz Golf Digest – dostępne bezpośrednio w aplikacji.
