I can now rightfully claim to have "fixed" a network issue by driving 70km, unplugging a cable, plugging it back again /into the same freaking port/, and driving back.

Of course it didn't truly fix the issue. The issue, as happens so often, is shitty un-tested cabling installed by a monkey with a wrench. No offense to monkeys.
