Impetigore (2019, Indonesia). Joko Anwar (Satan's Slaves) serves up one of the all-time great horror cold opens as a tollbooth attendant is unnerved by a suspicious man passing through her lane.
This five star opening gives way to a four star first half that then starts to sag almost immediately in the second half as the exposition dump hits. It's not enough to ruin the film, but it does pull it down from being a new classic to a solid watch with some marked high points.
