I've been to one midnight release for a console: the original switch. Me and 2 other people turned up, flashed IDs, got handed our machines and anything else we had asked for, and left.
No one said anything to anyone, we all just fulfilled our orders in silence, all in and out in 5 minutes.
Tonight (in 4 hours) I'll be going to my second midnight launch, for the super switch. They must be a lot more bold on how many people are turning up and need organizing. Cause they've said to start turning up for getting you name checked off and order prepped by 9pm.
Unless they think they're going to organize a few rousing rounds of "Heads Down, Thumbs Up" I don't think we're going to need three whole hours to organize a queue of who gets what.
