I'm not saying AI tooling can't help. But if we're not measuring actual outcomes, we're just confirming our own bias. Start measuring. Compare cycle times, defect rates, rework. Don't let a feeling of speed substitute for evidence of speed.

One worth trying: before committing to any design decision, ask "What would make this conversation a waste of time?" It forces the group to surface the assumptions underneath the debate before spending forty minutes on the wrong question.

I know there are flaws, but I think it is helpful to be reminded of the logical fallacies, and cognitive biases, and rhetorical approaches that external actors are using against you.

56 people were randomized to practice either 30 cog bias tests or 30 spelling tests between 12 pre- and post-tests (about news, clinical psych, etc.). Decision practice/feedback helped!
