Распробовал тут #hydrus. Давно хотел локальную буру, а альтернативы в виде клиент-серверного решения не очень нравились. К тому же #Shimmie не очень удобно пользоваться.

К этому прикрутил бэкапы базы с помощью #restic. Передаёт бэкапы по #sftp, есть снапшоты и дедупликация. Всё нравится. Надо будет это программулину прикрутить на #QuietBBS.

Op het zuidelijk halfrond bevindt zich tussen de Grote en Kleine Magelhaanse Wolken een klein stukje rustige sterrenhemel. Hier bevinden zich maar weinig heldere sterren of deep-sky objecten. Maar dit gebied is wel het thuis van het sterrenbeeld Hydrus – de Kleine Waterslang.

@wf Music & video collection management (#DataHoarding or "I don't trust youtube, spotify and similar things") and manga & doujin tagged search are the two biggest ones (in terms of just how many entries there are, I have terabytes of music).

I might also screw around with #Hydrus' database when I can actually do so reliably.

These pretty much all imply I'm living in #Emacs and that's mostly right.

Real question, what's the best way to manage a photo collection? I want to build a server to store and backup personal pictures and was wondering what's a good approach.

People mention #hydrus a lot but the down side of using it is that in the future the organization would only be readble in Hydrus, as opposed to just plain folder stracture.
