Now reading hard SF book "Shroud," by Adrian Tchaikovsky. Humans stranded in survival pod on lightless hellworld encounter hella cool aliens. One of 6 nominees for Best Novel Hugo.

Wow, for me "deceive" goes off like a mind grenade. So humans are (one of) The Animals That Lie…
